hi i just picked up a 6" dial caliper it has no manufacturer but has engraved in the back "Manufactured for Brecher & Bernitz Jnc 25 Beaver Street New York Textile Machinery & Supphes" it also says "made in Germany" and "X345" the spelling errors are as it appears on the caliper the body is made of german silver i think and the rest is made of steel. It has both metric and standard measurements. Has anyone seen one of these before or have any information about them ? the pictures show front and back its still dirty so the markings are a little hard to read in the pictures. ephone72014 073.JPGephone72014 075.JPGephone72014 074.JPG

I just wanted to add that i searched the for the company and the only refrence i got with google was an expired auction description that included a Brecher and Bernitz caliper but nothing else turned up about the company at all. Does anyone have any guesses about the age or anything at all relating to the caliper.
