I use Kool-Mist now on the mill, rather than daubing cutting fluid on. It seems to work well. The mister is pretty efficient in use of coolant, and the dilution ratio is high, so a gallon should last me a long time.
Spend the extra $12. Kool mist works great, tried and true. By the time you’ve diluted it appropriately you will find it lasts forever (hobby use). It keeps and reacts predictably.......
I use Kool Mist 77. I had a Kool Mist unit, but found it difficult to maintain a constant adjustment. Bought a cheap knock-off with two needle valves on the head. Works great. I do mostly plastics and Aluminum. I set it for "spitting" rather than "misting". I also have a shop vac with a 2-1/2" LocLine goose neck that picks up the swarf and over spray right at the cutter or drill.
