I live way out of town and don’t go to town very often due to distance. I will be purchasing a PM 25. I would like to prepurchase 4 bolts to mount the mill. I know the thickness of my bench, but I do not know what diameter or what depth the holes in the machine base are for mounting. I am guessing 2” or 3” deep and 10 or 12mm bolts, but I do not know. I emailed PM, but they said the only specs they had for me were on the website. Any ideas on diameter and base thickness where the mounting holes are? I won’t drill until I actually have the machine, but would like to have the correct hardware on hand. Thanks

The thickness of the base on my 727 mill is 3 inches. I would get bolts plenty long enough then turn a spacer if necessary. Hope that helps.

Thank you! I was guessing by looking at pictures. I can always cut a bolt off.

PM30-MV is no where near that thick. The part that the bolt goes through to the base is around 1-1/14" thick in the front. Didn't look at back bolts. I forgot to take the bolt out and measure the base. I can do that in the next couple of days if you need it

My PM-25 base is 2-1/4" thick. The bolt holes are 12mm. I can get a 12mm bolt through mine but there is hardly any clearance at all.

The base for my PM25 is about 2.2" thick. The mounting bolts came with the factory stand, so I'm not 100% sure of their size. They are inaccessible but the head measures about 0.628"

Definatly go with the PM25 sizes above. I walked back to check the PM30 and the base is about 1-1/16 thick. The actual mounting bolt to PM base is 10 X 1.5 X 50mm. Looks like every PM mill is different.

Wow! Thank you for all of the help. I can plan on some 12mm, and I might get some 10mm on 7/16” just in case. I’ve got lengths now, and am building my bench now. I go to town early next week and can get hardware. I’ll plan on getting that PM 25 ordered. Once again, Thanks!

I have a PM-25MV. I absolutely love everything about it. I think you should consider getting the factory installed DRO. It seems to save me a lot of time and effort.
