So for years I have simply done the math on bolt hole circles ( never had this feature on the DRO's at work) , so last night I said I'll figure out to use a few of these built ins ......programming was no problem.....then the beeping started. As you move to with in .0015 a beeper starts going off! You must be right on 0 or the beeping will not quite? .0002 off and you guessed it.....omg is this annoying and at 130 when you can't sleep it's just over the edge......

If you can locate the beeper (piezo buzzer probably) inside the DRO, putting a piece of scotch tape (or whatever) over the beeper's emitter hole will reduce the volume substantially. I've done that on a number of things that beep too much or too loud.

Another (though rather irreversible) way to quiet such a beeper is to squeeze some adhesive into the (vent/access) hole. When the adhesive makes contact with the surface of the piezo element, it will greatly attenuate the volume.

If you have the MX200 DRO one can disable the beep in the setup. The MX100 also has provisions to disable the beep in the software.
