This is an advance notice that we will soon begin a "Best Article on Home Shop Machining" contest" on Hobby-Machinist!
The author of the article (write-up) that gets the MOST votes by our registered users in a 3 month period gets $20 in their PayPal account (or a check if you don't use PayPal), and the designation "Best Writeup Winner" in their profile.
The article can be on any aspect of home-shop machining, such as machine restorations, machine improvements, machine building, machine tooling and toolmaking, projects made on home-shop machines, shop tips and techniques, similar to what you might see in a home-machinist magazine. If there is any doubt, please ask one of the staff first to confirm the topic. The length doesn't matter, but the article should have some good, clear photos.
Any regular member in good standing is eligible to enter. Former members who had their accounts deleted by me, and banned members may not participate.
