Quite some time ago i saw a small benchtop band saw. I can't remember where. Does anyone know who makes or sells these?

I'm assuming you mean horizontal. If yes, here's one.

Has shown out of stock for quite some time so not sure if that's accurate. You could use any 4x6ish without the stand. But they're still bigger than the LM one. Perhaps others might offer that model too?

You give no idea other than it is a bench top Band Saw. What are you intending to do with it? Metal cutting or wood? ------ "Billy G"

The one referred to by Darkzero at lathemaster is like the one i had in mind. Should have been more clear that it was for metal and that smaller size.

I've got the Swag Off Road used with a deep Porta Band
Works great. I cut everything with it

Those Swag kits for use with the deep portabands are very nice.

FYI, aside from the LM one, those portable benchtop horizontal metal bandsaws are very expensive. They run around a grand. Note sure how big they really are but if you can find the room for a 4x6 you'll save a lot of money. They don't take up that much space but not sure if it's the weight vs size that you're concerned about. A 4x6-5x7 is not exactly portable.

They pop up on craigslist often. I got my enco 4x6 for $100 & it was barely used. It's been great to me but I want a 7x12 now. Don't really have the room for one right now though & my 4x6 has not let me down once yet.

i may be looking for the larger saw but i also may have access to a portable so may have to consider the swag. thanks for all your help.
