Does anyone in the forum have any idea, right off-hand, know the lengths of both of the lower belts on this type of Craftsman lathe; Atlas Craftsman commercial, SN 101.28990?

Thanks for your help in advance,
KP

Just go to Harbor Freight & pick up some link belts and they work good, just make sure you run them in the right direction.
It will make your lathe run quieter and smoother IMHO:))
Also easy to put on.

That's what I had on the lower outside and I had that Harbor Freight link belt on another lathe. I was using the motor and pulley system to keep the belt tension and it pulled apart; curled up every tab on each side.

It is probably the only American-made product in Harbor Freight. $25.00 per package; as long as you don't put much pressure on them, they seem to work fine.

This afternoon, I went to ABC Auto Parts and found two belts - it runs pretty good now.

Thank you for your insight; much appreciated.
