I did some bead blasting of some parts. I had to braze up a Moto Guzzi brake pedal for someone. To restore the look after filing and sanding, I bead blasted it to see what I liked and didn't with the cabinet. I knew going in what I didn't like, and confirmed it.
Too much space at the bottom for glass beads or any abrasive to hide from the pickup. So adding some slope to the sides, and going to shorten the hose and use a copper pickup tube, with and added air pickup. Going to move the air inlet and eventually replace the gun. I would rather use a foot pedal. Might go with a fixed gun and just move the part..
Started with a cardboard template as its much easier to adjust things that way.
Then roughed out the panels from my old furnace panels. Used light scores to help bend since these are heavy gauge. New stuff is much lighter than the old.
Bending was quite easy using two pieces of square stock.
Gotta cut off the ears on the top. Going to glue these in using liquid nails as it should seal it nicely.
I think I'll need a vibrator to shake the abrasive to the bottom.
