Hey everybody
Finally back in the shop. I did some volunteer work this summer on a new foster home.
I finished a few small projects the past few weeks. photos attached.
Photo 1 is of a new power feed I installed on a Index vertical mill.
Photo 2 is a new ball handle with nut for the mill, a new carriage stop for my lathe and a radius cutter I used for the ball handle.
Finished my tool post grinder. Hint: do not use cheap grinding wheels on a tool post grinder, they wear down unevenly and leave a wavy pattern on the work piece.

I've been think about starting a new project, a grinder for sharpening lathe tool bits and drill bits. Not sure on the type and design yet.

nice stuff. yer hiding the rest of your junk under a cover ? we want to see that too :)

Looking Good, looks like you have been busy in the shop too.
I noticed you made up a spacer to go inbetween the table and power feed. I don,t see that very often. Most guys just live with the loss of travel. I did that to my mill when I added the power feed too, but admit, yours looks alot nicer than mine.

The rest of your projects are looking pretty nice.

Good Job

Sorry about that, I use drop cloths on my lathes and mills. I have a table saw in the shop and the drop cloths help keep the saw dust off the equipment.

Yeah, I had a problem with wall thickness. The lead screw's o.d. is 0.625" with key way and a square end. The power feed i.d. is 20 mm with 6 mm key way. If i just used a sleeve ,that would have left me about 0.1206" wall thickness to put a 6 mm key way. Alignment was a bear (lead screw was not straight).
