At $15 a pop for the tiny belt, the occasional use of my 920 tends to get expensive. Contrast that with a 10 year old belt on my table saw.... and during 1/5 of the same time the Jet has used 4. Yes, I'm well aware of the safety function of both the plastic gear and the belt, but the broken belts I've experienced were not due to chuck jamming. With this in mind, has anyone modified their 920 to use a wider/better belt. (I have also tried the splitting a wider grooved belt with less than satisfactory results).
