This was a fun project because I wasn't reverse engineering and guessing at dimensions from old battered parts. This is a retaining device that is part of the system that holds the 20mm cannon to the mount. Unfortunately I have not seen one in use and don't have any pictures yet. I made two from a copy of the original drawing. The surface finish was not especially important because they will be blasted with aluminum oxide and Parkerized. OD is 2.344", made from 2.5" stock. Lotsa chips! The drawing specified where the part number and contractor's symbol went so I stamped the part number and my initials. The guys at the Battleship Texas Foundation loved the authenticity that the stamping added. I think this was the last piece I made on my 11x26 Grizzly. The second one was made on the 1340 Victor and was MUCH easier!
