ball turning toolpost far Emco compact 8

I want to make a ball turning toolpost for my lathe (Emco compact 8 ) Is there anybody who has a drawing for such a tool?

You can use a HSS toolbit in place of the insert, mill a slot and tap in some set screws

I know this is a reply to an old post but it might help someone. http://bedair.org/Ball/ball.html Many have copied this work. I made one a couple of years ago for the Asian 9x20. It works fine.

I began making one and have it about 90% complete. I'm sure I also have the directions from Bedaire. I am selling the Emco compact 8 after owning it for 30 years so I will have no use for the ball turner. if the future buyer isn't interested is the ball turner project I'll sell it for $30.00, including shipping.

I made one based on the plans linked above, the only real accurate measurement is the tool height and adequate clearance below the stock you plan to turn.
