I just purchased a Atlas MK2 that was mislisted on EBAy as a 109 for 485.00 including shipping. I have used the 109s for a number of years and have 2 now, one is the 20630 the other is the older long bed version. I will probably let them go once i get MK2 up and running. Question????? I have read that the threading gears are the same for the AA 109s and the Atlas 101, is that correct, if they are i will make a set of gears for the MK2 from ZA27 castings using the 109 gears as patterns.

Thanks

Art,

I've heard the same thing, but you have some of both make gears. Just compare them. Or take one of each to a local machine shop and ask someone to check whether they are the same. You could buy the necessary gauge sets from McMaster but the price would probably give you sticker shock.

I think I saw the ad on eBay. Same seller was selling the MK-2 and an AA. And had the same ad title on both ads. Instead of fixing the MK-2 ad, he added a note saying that the title was wrong!
