I recently came into possession of some machining tools and I’m trying to get some information on this Atlas MFC.

This doesn’t look like something I would use but didn’t find a ton of information on them. I did read a bit on here but some of the others I’ve seen look a little different on the front and the vise.

I do have some various tooling but I don’t know what goes to what. I need to do some digging still in the piles of stuff.

If I dont keep it what does something like this go for?IMG_1092.jpegIMG_1094.jpegIMG_1096.jpegIMG_1102.jpeg

Beautiful machine. I don’t have the atlas mill but I have the shaper. Parts for these are expensive when you can find them. Where do you live? Would love to take it off your hands, lol

I’m in Virginia. I mistakenly sold a little shaper like this when I first started going through stuff and didn’t think to stop and see what it was worth. Whoops

Other than the condition of the machine itself which looks pretty good, there are a couple of fairly hard-to-come-by accessories there: the front overarm support (between the overarm and the table) and the rotary table. The overarm support is original I'm pretty sure, I'm just not 100% on the rotary table. Regardless, if it fits the machine nicely (which this one appears to do) it will add significantly to the value. I have a fairly early MF model and the MFC was the last iteration of this miller to be produced, I believe. Do your homework before getting rid of it.

That is a really nice peice of equipment.
It looks so original and so "just out of the shop"

Clean it up and sell it for $2K
The rotary table is worth $600 alone as , It appears to be an original atlas accessory .

Is there any way to identify what tooling goes with this particular machine easily? I have a couple of boxes of stuff I believe goes with it but not sure how to tell.

You could have a look here….

There are some catalogues related specifically to the Atlas milling machines and they show various accessories and parts lists. I know we have some in our own Downloads section too but I think the larger collection will be at the link above.

You could also take pictures of things you’re not sure about and post them here. I suspect those who own similar machines would recognize most of the parts.

Yea, it was probably a 7B. Worth a good amount to the right person
