Atlas Gear & Belt Covers

Someone just listed an Atlas gear cover and what looks like a belt cover in Classifieds. He doesn't say (and I don't have either machine for reference) whether the gear cover is for a 10" or a 6" and I have no idea. The belt cover looks like a motor belt cover but looks too narrow at the big end to be off of either of the lathes. But it is the same shade of gray as the gear cover.

The thread title is "My Extras For Sale" and the photo is at the bottom of Page 2 (the thread has been running a while).

I have a 6" Atlas lathe and neither of those covers are familiar to me, Robert. The gear cover (on the left) has the knob in the wrong place for the 6" lathe, and the slotted one looks like it's off a shaper not a lathe. Neither of them would belong on my machine if that helps you?

The gear cover looks like it's from a 10" lathe and the belt cover looks like it could be from the Atlas tool post grinder accessory.

Well, hell (pardon my French). I have the tool post grinder and never even thought about it. I think that you are right.

OK. If anyone here needs either a 10F change gear cover or a belt cover for a 10/12" tool post grinder, there is one of each in the Classified thread I gave earlier. Down at the bottom of the second page, as it is a pretty long thread as Classifieds go.
