The part i am looking for is #20 and yes no luck on ebay so far thank you for the information.Do you mean the compound feed screw? I have not found any but there are a variety of places to look for various Atlas/Craftsman lathe stuff. Sometimes they can be found on eBay, but I didn't find any just now.
Clausing still has some parts for these, but I've not found a link for it. I did get a drawing from them a couple years ago for a part they no longer stock.

Given the temperament and ability to do anything, you'll do fine. For a rank beginner, a fine introductory reference is "How To Run A Lathe...". By South Bend about SB lathes, but the principles are universal. Probably reveal what many of those other things are for also.Thank you for the information. This is my first lathe so i'm starting from scratch, very much trial and error. I have all kinds of attachments and parts and half them i have no clue what they do lol. I can build and fabricate just about anything but @ 60 i've never learned how to use a lathe and once i figure that out i want to find a mill next.
