Atlas/Craftsman 6 inch Lathe (101.21400) “Graduated Collar” Knurled Set Screw

My recently acquired lathe has allen head set screws to lock the “Graduated Collar” on both the cross slide and compound slide. I have replaced them with cut down aluminum screen door knurled screws which just happen to be the correct 8-32. Ace Hardware has the small screws for $0.55 and the large for $0.65. Cheap and non-marring.

You can also buy from places like McMaster knurled thumb screws, like the larger later Atlas lathes came with.
