Atlas 10D manual??

Hello all

First I'd like to say that I'm new to this forum and new to machinist work in general... home tinkering lol...

I'm currently restoring a Atlas 10D and was hoping someone might have a resource to the manual and parts list. I have the 10F manual that makes reference to some parts however not all of the 10D parts.

The closest I have is the 10F manual that makes mention to some of the 10D parts.

Hi Dave,

Welcome to the site!

I did a detailed search thru our downloads section here at Hobby Machinist and found a few mentions of "Atlas 10D", but no full manual.
I believe the downloads are only available to paying members, to help defray server costs.

Anyway, below is the list of what I found so you can decide if it's worth it for you.
I'll list them by title and link, and then the comment about the file.......


Atlas Lathe 10F Parts Partial 10L-36-2 5-47.PDF

Directly applicable to the 10D and early 10F with babbit spindle bearings or vertical countershaft. Also applicable except for the actual headstock casting to the babbit bearing Craftsman models.

Atlas MOLO 1937-V1 Part 7 Covers 10D and Earlier With 96T Gears.pdf

Part (Chapter) 7 out of the Atlas MOLO covering the Atlas 10 through 10E. Formatted 8-1/2 x 11.

Atlas Lathe 10E-Series Parts.pdf

10E is a stripped down version of 10D. No back gears, etc.

Atlas 10-1273 Template QCGB 10D.pdf

Template for locating stud gear stud hole in headstock for converting 10D and earlier to QCGB.

Atlas 10D-262 Special Nut for Feed Crank.pdf

Rough sketch. Can make from a standard 3/8"-24 hex nut.

I think I have all the information you kindly posted.

I'm starting to think that a 10D manual was never produced. The closest thing is the 10F manual.

I have an original paper back one
