I'm not a student at Shoreline CC, but they offer classes to the general public. (https://app.shoreline.edu/class-schedule/?pagemode=showclasses&disc=mfgt).
I'm planning on taking Manufacturing Technology 107 in the Fall quarter (first day of class is September 29th). It covers conventional Mills. It meets on Saturdays from 8am to 5pm.
If that goes well, in the Winter or Spring I'd take Manufacturing Technology 108. It covers conventional Lathes. It meets on Sundays from 8am to 5pm. (107 is a prerequisite for 108).
If I'm reading their site correctly, by the time you add up tuition and fees, it looks like it's in the ballpark of $1500 for each class.
It would be more fun for me to attend with another hobbyist. If you're interested, but not ready to start this Fall, I'd be willing to put off starting until the Winter quarter.
Let me know if you're interested!
