Don't think anyone would've passed it up for that price!

I'm curious about you reporting that there is something negative with a Kennedy box. Any more info?

I've got a Kennedy and a HGerstner, they both do the job!

Nice solid looking box. Not sure whats in worse condition though. Your drawer liners or your lawn ;)

Cheers Phil

Hey, nice looking box. I wish I could find some of those deals!
About the Kennedy.. Out here in the midwest (Iowa) I had never heard of a Kennedy box. That is, until my father-in-law willed his tool boxes to my son & his boxes were Kennedy. Now he was near the coast in New Hampshire, and I was told they were quite common in that area. Did Kennedy deal mainly in the eastern USA states?

I've got one just like that which claims to have been made in Ohio. I didn't know it was a treasure, though. I thought it was just an old toolbox.

Great buy!

I have two Kennedy 620 boxes, only three drawers in them but that's okay. Also a H Gerstner and Crafsman box. I prefer the Kennedy over the Gert for everyday work, I don't feel bad for slamming a Kennedy drawer shut on a bad day.

The Kennedy's are rugged and reliable, can take a beating and last 3 or more generations in my case. The Gerstner is more of an heirloom, and I would NEVER take it to work.

The Craftsman? Well it's a craftsman.......

Kennedy's are my favorite box, I don't know why there is bad stuff posted about them....

Nice score. I never find deals like that around here.

It is the cost of the new ones vs the quality of them that I have seen on here .....I can't justify buying a new one but can't resist them when the price is low ....I think the quality is outstanding...this is the oldest one I have and the drawers are smooth as silk....ha the felt in the drawers is similar to my lawn in appearance.....I'll likely just vacuum it out though for now.....I have some bigger Snap-on chests that I got fairly cheap too and think the world of them too ....It's never going to stop. there is always another unpassable bargain on tools .....then you need a box.....

I'm in So'Eastern Mass. and they are everywhere. I don't know if there is anything more to it than us Yankees just like a good value! And the Kennedy box seems to deliver that. The Gerstner is nice but have become something more than a toolbox, and the prices are just crazy, even for a used one.
