Anyone know of a source for reasonably priced air cylinders ... a 3 to 4 inch bore and at least a 13 inch stroke ... or for the rest of the world, 75 to 100 mm bore and at least a 325 mm stroke. It will probably need to handle up to 100 psi.

I am thinking I might try to use a hydraulic cylinder but think the 'stickion' of the seals will be a big issue.

Thanks,
Arvid

Try Bimba cylinders, I know they make many different styles like single and double action and I did use a 3" bore some years ago but you will have to see the site to find out more info. for your sizes. Google air cylinders and you should find a lot of places that make air cylinders if Bimba does not make your size. Bimba and Tom Thumb is the only ones I have used mainly for small stuff.

I've used quite a bit of Festo. High quality, but not cheap.
