Hi:
I picked up a small vise (or "vice" since it is British?) in a recent auction lot that is kinda cool. It is a Myford MA 71. The jaws are only 1.65 inches wide and the screw has about 1.25 inches of travel.
Simple contruction:
Amazing that the pivoting jaw stayed with the body. Also, note that the screw does not retract the moving jaw. The operator has to pull it back!
Cute little guy! I'm thinking to try to use it to hold small parts on my rotary table.
