A little testing on the 1440BV

I was making a few parts for work and decided to push the 1440 a little. I'm pretty impressed by this lathe so far.

I still think that I could push her a little harder but here is a quick video... .150" depth of cut (.300" removal), 1600 RPM, .0205" feed rate in 316L. CNMG 432 Grade T7325 insert.

It's a cheap import (Bostar from Ebay), but it does what I need it to do.
