Hello,

SWAP MEET HAS ARRIVED AGAIN!! The date has been set for the 9[SUP]th[/SUP] annual Shilen Swap Meet. We hope that you will not only attend but also post the enclosed flyer in a visible location and help to pass the word to interested people. ANYONE can set up a table or just back their truck up and drop their tailgate. There are NO entry or vendor fees and we will persevere RAIN or SHINE! There will be gun stuff everywhere, buy and sell as much as you like. There will be complementary chili and frito pie as always. Don’t miss out.

The doors will open a little before 8am for anyone wanting to set up their table. The “Swap Meet Barrels” will be out at 8am. These are barrels that we have from customers who ordered a certain contour, or caliber and then changed their mind and wanted a larger contour, different caliber, or something else. In the name of customer service we have let the customer change their order and then place the barrel back in stock. Throughout the year we try to use these barrels to fill other orders. Eventually these barrels start to clog up our shelves and need to be moved along so we decided to offer them at the Swap Meet at discounted prices. These are only available in person, all warranties still apply; these are NOT of lower quality or factory seconds.

Factory Tours will be given again this year. During the morning tours, 8:00 am until 11:00 am the drill, ream and rifle machines will run. Tours will continue in the afternoon but no machines will run then.
There will be a sign up table for drawings that will be held at 9am, 9:30am, 10am, 10:30am, noon, 12:30pm, 1pm and 1:30pm. You could win Shilen apparel, discounted merchandise or even a free barrel.

So here is the important information:

Thank you for the invitation. It's a little to far from NC though. Hope you have a great turnout.

I might go this year. I am 285 miles each way from Ennis...Approximately how many barrels will be sold and how fast do they sell out? If I spend a hundred dollars for gas with expectation to buy a few barrels at good price might I be disappointed? How much are they discounted? Any black powder cartridge rifle barrels in the mix?

It would be great fun to see the machines running.. Don't know if I'd drive that far just for the tour.. It is a Shilen barrel that I installed on my scratch built Highwall that is giving me some great accuracy. Expect to win some BPCR silhouette matches this year with it.

Dang, I drive by your place to shoot BR in Pencil Bluff. It ain't that bad. Call Shilen and ask on the barrels. Seems like 50-60 barrels is about normal. They won't be as cheap as the barrels that I sent to you a few years ago, but much much cheaper than are available anyplace.

I don't know a PaPaw ,is this B#### L#####t ? You gonna be at the swap meet?

Barrels are a real booger right now, out of stock in my favorite calibers everywhere.. I've had a Green Mountain barrel on back order for 5 months now. Do you have any special insight into the situation at Shilen?.What is the lead time over there if one is ordered? Other than Midway who else stocks Shilen barrels?

I won't use a telephone when I can avoid it. And I wont bother anybody with a phone call just to satisfy my curiosity.. Be good if you can answer these few questions.. But I am merely curious.

You should announce this swap meet over at Homegunsmithing..

One and the same. Are your dogs still opening their door with a push of the button? Have you tried Brownells or Bruno's Shooters Supply, or my old company, The Barrelman?

would love to make that one I will mark the calender and we will see bob
