Hello!

I recently picked up an 1993 MSC branded gap bed bench lathe.

Everything runs great but I am having a hard time finding any additional info on the lathe. I’m hoping someone on here may have info on the lathe or hopefully a manual? Even if it’s for a rebranded machine.

The lathe is dated 1993 with a TYPE NO: 09529017. I reached out to MSC product support and the only thing they knew about it is that it is a 12x36 lathe. Even this info I’m not sure about because it appears to be a 13” swing without the gap. I didn’t measure between centers but it is somewhere between 36-40”. Also has a D1-4 spindle.

I have tried a ton of google searches, reverse image search and even checking with other brands it may have been sold under but cannot find any helpful information about operation or preventative maintenance.

If anyone on here has the same lathe with the manual or some more information that may help me track it down I would appreciate it!

Your lathe is made by Tida in Taiwan. There are also a Central Machinery lathe of the same model. Both of these pics are from Hobby Machinist. They are very good lathes.

Here is a pic of one.

This is mine. I have the manual, although there is not much useful info inside.
