9 inch South Bend metal lathe with tooling - $4,000 (Rio Linda, CA)

It’s why I could never afford a South Bend. Anybody else cringe when a lathe comes with a tool post grinder? And says it’s got some wear but can still do precision work.

That is a "wishing" price; I have one just like it without so much junk with it, but including a set of tool holders, 3 and 4 jaw chucks and a live center, a bargain at $1100.

If I was not across the country, I would have that.

I did that once, Denver. I'll pass.

My family has been here since 1845, when this was a Mexican territory --- guess that I have some bias in the matter; I know that the cost of housing is much cheaper "back east", but a wonderful climate and better wages perhaps makes up for some of that.

someone here is selling a sb 9c for 8000 and they want 6000 without the chucks way to much
