4 Jaw Chuck for my Atlas 12"

I have been wanting a 4 jaw & just came up with some cash that burning a pocket hole)

What do you think about the SHARS chucks?

I do find some used ones on the bay & maybe I should head in that direction.........

but I'd sure like to have a tool that I bought new

I have an 8" three jaw from Shars and been ferry happy with it.:thumbzup:

I don't have the shars chuck but I did buy there quick change tool post and it is top notch

I have two of these chucks a 4 jaw and a three I have had them for about 16 yrs without a problem. Ray

Get a 4 jaw for sure. My 3 jaw sits on the floor collecting dust. Shars would be fine I would
think as chucking accuracy is supplied by the operator anyway and if you use it much you
will become really adept at centering a round piece of stock and be able to hold other shapes
as well. I just ordered some Shars stuff myself. Go for it!





ps: I just retired too and have a Walker-Turner band saw..... an old tool but I love it!
