Getting closer by the day. Video's pretty much sum up beginning to today's improvements. I've included the picture of it when I first bought it. Sweat is what made

I passed a small Kennedy to the daughter today . Very small $450 box . Maybe one day it'll be worth one of the HF boxes . Little that they know .

Hi,
Refurbed this set mostly all there but a few missing parts...

Found out Kennedy is proud of their parts for these boxes.
Oh, yes – I assume that’s why you didn’t replace the lock in the roller cabinet? When I cleaned up a couple of Kennedy boxes a few years ago I used the remaining spare locks I had: as part of the deal I had the company that I bought my new Kennedy’s from include keyed-alike locks which gave me some extras (7 in all, four were already keyed the same). IIRC they wanted $20 for a replacement pair of keys and $30 for a lock in 1983. I recently had to replace a Craftsman lock, and that was $40.

Very nice job on the refurb!

Hi,
Thanks, someone had sprayed the boxes with a Coke or something and you could see the rust pattern!

Sandblasting in the backyard was the only way to clean it.

I paid $40 for all of it and actually went for a surface plate, just got lucky on the Boxes!

Had to sandblast and repaint a lot of rust but is now able to be used!

Looks very good and very origional. This is my 2nd Kennedy to restore and I used Rustoleum Hammer paint on both of them because of Kennedy's outrageous price on their paint. The first one is a hammer Gray and this one is hammer Black. I picked 2 more cans of the hammer Black today for a future project I am thinking of building.

Hi,
I used paint matched at Ace Hardware, was pretty close.

I now have the 2 side handles on mine the pic I show is an older one.

Found out best to have all the parts included when buying used!!!
