Trying to decide and best shop placement? Against a wall saves space but wont allow the mill head to be swung and access to the back is limited but electrical is easier. Center shop means electrical drop maybe with an SO cord, twist locks, and strain reliefs. That's one thing I'm trying to tackle as once set its done. The second thing is level. My floor is not allowing the cabinet to sit flat so shimming will be required. Best way to shim/material? Not that it matters but its a Smithy 1340 with their stand.

Very Nice! Looks like it adds about 4" in height.This is what I did with mine, Carrymaster leveling castors, and the lathe can be shimmed on the stand as needed also.
the box tubing is 2 x 3 plus the castors.
