Varity of boring bars. I have a 3/8" one I use for making choke tubes. Works very nice, reasonable price. I have been very happy with Haas tooling. It's mostly import but good quality. No risk, compared to eBay imports similar prices when on sale, which is usually.

I know it seems wrong, but at these prices don't be afraid to cut the shanks short. I have a couple of cut off bars that i use in a boring head.

If standard length bars will work I’ll cut them down but I wasn’t sure if they’d work correctly in a boring head as I’ve never used one before.

It’s good to know that they’ll be okay to use so thanks!

Yes they work OK for me. Just get them clocked properly so you have clearance. Just also make sure you can hit your minimum hole diameter. might also need a little grinding for clearance. I also have a couple of bigger bars where the shank was turned down at the end to a shoulder to fit into the boring head. Good for big holes. Can be more resistant to chatter.

Out of curiosity I went to that link and didn't find any carbide-insert boring tools. They have carbide-shank and two flavors of HSS boring bars. At least at the moment.
