As I await my read heads and tape from Ditron (currently in Japan woo) I am looking at the actual install. I know I will need two adapters, but has anyone successfully run two installations (a mill and a lathe) on the same tablet? It isn't a must, but I will never be running both at the same time, so it would be nice to share the device if possible.

In messing around with the TouchDRO controller, I've bounced between three devices. An Amazon Fire HD tablet and two different macOS computers talking over bluetooth with a test app.

Most recent connect gets the controller. So if the table has it, I can pull it away to another device. The TouchDRO app has a pop up with a list for several controllers when you touch 'connect'. So if you had two TouchDRO controllers in range, both would show up. Pick one and go.

Would be nice to have the app skip that if only one controller is present. Have a pref setting to control behavior. Always or none if one. :)

You don't need separate installations. TouchDRO has a concept of preference bangs ("Configuration" in the new version). You would set up one bank for the mill and another for the lathe, and switch as needed.
Here is some info related to this: TouchDRO Design Philosophy and https://www.yuriystoys.com/2014/02/touchdro-settings-overview.html

If you only have one, why do you need to disconnect in the first place? Just close the app and it will reconnect next time you open it.

I have several devices that are used to get data from the TouchDRO controller including the android app. As this type of bluetooth connection cannot be shared, He who connects last, get the TouchDRO controller. All others become forced disconnected. Thus, having to connect again. :)
