I have acquired (*) a ML7 which I am attempting to provide the appropriate TLC to. 1963 model by the serial number. It is going mostly fine so far. Cleaning out all the bearings where the previous owner had used grease and adjusting as needed.

I have an old companion drill press that has this Legrand motor.
On the pulley side, it has a gits oiler. On the other side, it has a different kind of oil opening.
There is also a metal cap that presses on to cover the shaft. It seems to have some grease in there.
I had to take the back cover...

I have seen online a couple of South Bends that have 2 drip feed oilers on top of the headstock. Has anyone here had any experience using these oilers? Is it worth buying since it supposedly may better ensure constant spindle lubrication, or is it just stupid, where it's better to oil it...
