So I'm baffled by this and I'm sure it's simple. Turning the cross feed handle clockwise bringing it towards you. Where is the load placed that holds the cross feed screw in place? Obviously the cross feed nut is moving the carriage... but looking at the diagram I don't see what keeps the screw...
