Cool video. Sort of the type of lathe I am designing.

Also followed a link on that page to a guy doing snailing. Very interesting. I've done it pretty much how he did, on a larger scale, but never knew it was called "snailing".

The video is long, but still watched it to the end. That lathe has everything one could want, but that sure is alot of cash for it.
 
The video of the lathe and its accessories was great but greater still were the associated videos on Watchmaking.
The making of the tapered spindles was a work of precision art. That fellow is an accomplished machinist.

Amazing stuff, but I would lose my f#&$ing mind working on such small stuff. I'm just not built to do that kind of work. LOL. :confused:
