Looking for a good spindle with chuck release nut for a pre 1937 Buffalo Forge 15" drill press. If you have something let's talk

Rick

So a few specifics - doesn't have to be a Buffalo spindle. It does need to be a6 spline, 5/8" diameter, at least 15" long with a spline length of at lease 6-1/2" and a taper chuck fitting.

Hate to say it but that part is probably "Unobtainium" you might want to start looking into making one or having one made as a plan-b.

Any specific MT?
I've got several spare spindles on the shelf and will look.

OK
Thanks
a6 spline, 5/8" diameter, 15"+ long, spline length of at lease 6-1/2", MT2 or JT33
Will try to look tomorrow.
I actually think I know where they might be! They would be MT2 for sure.

Daryl - don't spend any time on this yet - I have a lead on a complete assy. I need most of the parts except the quill and the guy I'm talking to has a few at a reasonable price. I'll get back to you if this doesn't work out.

Thanks
Rick
