Here's a little idea to enhance workshop efficiency. I make all the mounting bolts and nuts on my machinery the same size so that
the same wrench can be used in a multitude of places. I picked the tail stock wrench on my lathes to be the size and
most of my commonly used fasteners are that size. That way I have a "Universal wrench", my go to wrench. Also,
the wrench fits on my follower rest and steady rest so no looking for the right wrench constantly.
On this photo, you can see that both the nut on the vise and the
hold down bolt holding the vise to the table are the same size.
Has anyone else come up with any time savers?
If so, please post them.
