Was out shopping today and one of the men who go to the church the wife goes to stops me and says, "Hey, I hear you have a mill, you do any work for hire?"
I guess the wife or kids were talking about it, most likely my oldest who I have spent some quality time with puttering around with the mill and lathe.
"Well sure, what do you have in mind?"
"Well the sweet corn patch was a disappointment this year, small ears and not real sweet."
"Umm, OK."
"So I was wondering if you could mill it after I finish dehydrating it. I think it would be perfect for corn bread."
"Oh, I see, that isn't the sort of mill I have." In my mind I am thinking, "Dude thinks I am a hippy."
"Oh, I thought you had a mill."
"Yes, I do, I turn big chunks of metal into smaller chunks of metal and little chips." We both had a laugh.
"Oh, I see. Well have a great day."
Hope the guy finds a mill, that cornbread sounds pretty good.
