I like your taps, but suggest you make them in non-standard threads. Ordinary taps for metal working will cut threads in wood CA glue is needed for soft wood and helps in hard wood. Rosewoods thread pretty good without CA.

You are on a roll Mike!

Thank You Tony,
I aspire to be like Roy Underhill, as a matter of fact.

Oh gosh I hope not. I remember watching his show in original broadcast, much because he was local to where I grew up and of course the subject was interesting. I used to either laugh or shake my head because he invariably hurt himself or broke his piece of work during the show.

But to be fair, he did make some beautiful stuff while off camera.

Thank you very much for reading and taking the time to comment on my project, i really do appreciate folks like you guys!

i have seen him (Roy) take a chunk out himself many times!
that part i, for sure, don't wish to emulate.
i aspire to have his level of passion.
when somebody oozes enthusiasm for something like Roy does, i can't help but be inspired.
what i appreciate most about Roy is that it's not an act.
i believe he really loves what he does, i'd take that any day of the week !
