Hi,

For 30+ years, I have owned this Enco bench drill press.

http://www.use-enco.com/CGI/INSRIT?PMAKA=308-0056&PMPXNO=8743165&PARTPG=INLMK32

I would like to get a Procunier tapping head off Ebay.

There are several models, options, accessories. I am confused which to get.
The press is a 2JT I believe. I currently have it equipped with an Albrecht Keyless chuck.

Opinions on which model head, options, things to look for when I am looking at the tapping heads on Ebay?

Thanks.

There is one version of the Procunier that has a keyed chuck, not collets.

I have the same drill press but a tapping head is going to suck up a lot of the vertical space! The table is going to be down by your knees!

Are you sure you NEED one? Check previous postings there was a good discussion about these units.

I tend to agree with Dalee. Unless you know you need it, and only you do, that money could be spent on more useful tooling.

Can you share your reasoning on why you believe you need a tapping head? Maybe you should borrow one for a while and see how much you really use it.
