Which Of The Harbor Freight Tooling For 8 X 12 Lathe?

Which ones of the tooling's that are available at harbor freight work ok on their 8 x 12 Lathe? I plan on getting a QCTP and tooling from somewhere like LMS but in the mean time I'd like to pick up whatever is available at HF (I have a store close by) that will work with the factory tool post so I can play around a bit until I can afford the QCTP and better tooling. Thanks

The HF tooling is junk, like you I was in a hurry to use my new lathe and purchased their carbide turning package, I threw in away. Check with your local industrial supply stores they frequently have some carbide and HSS tooling in stock. I did that then a few weeks later jumped to indexible carbide tooling.

About the only HF accessories that are worth a darn are the 1/4" indexable lathe bit set:

I highly recommend the Arthur R. Warner indexable tools in 3/8" from LMS. Very high quality HSS inserts and not that bad priced.
