They are commonly used at the bottom end of the handlebar stem on bicycles. Tighten the nut and it expands in the bore.

I need one for a different application, for a different bore diameter, and I don't know what term to use for a Google search.

tried every word search I could think of and did not find anything. Would not be that hard to make what you need. Turn a part to required diameter, drill, tap, counter bore and then cut at the angle. Could even cut at the angle with an angle grinder with cut off blade. Easy enough to make.

Try wedge bolt

The only reference I could find on Google called it a inside pipe clamp.

Personally I'd call it a wedge clamp but that doesn't help locate it. I don't know of any manufactured ones but I have seen similar ones built by welders to hold things to their welding tables.

I think this would be called a type of "wedge nut".
Wedge nuts come in a wide variety of shapes and applications.
Think concrete anchor.
Regardless of application the principle is the same.
Nothing special about the bolt.

I find them as "bar end screw". I haven't found different sizes though, just the plugs for specific bike/motorcycle bar ends.

Yep...that was why I suggested making them. It's not that hard to make. And I could not find anyone that sells em.
