It's a sale I'm planning on going to that's got a lot of non-tool related stuff I'm interested in, and apparently this lathe as well. I have a feeling there'll be a lot of scrappers scavenging whatever they can. I don't need it, or necessarily want the project, but thought it might be worth saving from the furnace.

Depending on the prices and your storage space there may be opportunity/profit in the other items.
Rumor is that, at least in MN, there is a growing vintage blacksmith interest.
