Here'a couple of pictures of my Logan 2136. Does anyone know what the tool is for that I have sitting on the chuck?

Well, I can honestly say, "I don't know."

But, if I were to make a wild guess, it might be a grinding wheel dressing attachment to sqaure up a grinding wheel. However, that is only a guess.

Thanks guys!! I'm not entirely sure I how it works but you've got me past the first fork in the road. I need to figure out how that taper attachment works, too?

Thanks Paddy. I understand what you guys are saying but I still don't know what it's for? Let me get a little further along and it will make sense. I'm going to order a book or two so I'll speak the same language as you guys. I played with that lathe 40 years ago but obviously have no clue what I'm doing. I've had that T-bird since '73. It's a 57. Been a fun old car. My garage normally doesn't look like a band of gypsies iive in it. Just moved. Still upacking boxes and throwing out junk.
