What are these ?

Found about 20 of these in a coffe can of horizontal mill cutters.as you can see they are knurled on one side, all the same angle, heavy and really,really hard. 2 1/2 inch tall and 1/2 thick.
Could they be ground for shaper or lathe tools?

The serrations remind me of what you would see on a insert woodworking sharper head.

Old boring tools to a boring bar used on a horizontal boring machine. Goddard & Goddard used similar arrangement on their milling tools. Have their catalog around here somewhere.
 
To 4gsr their way to hard and heavy to be hs steel , I think their carbide. Thanks ron
They very well could be carbide. I would think Tungsten or Stellite, next step to being carbide.
