I've had very good results from CTD drill bits and taps. CTD as in Consolidated Toledo, not Cleveland Twist Drill. Apparently CTD is now a part of Norseman Drill & Tool.

Everything use to be real simple when it came to quality bits....

I use to like Cleveland Drill bits....but they are very pricey , not made in US anymore, and the quality is not what they used to be. Hertel is a crap shoot on where they are sourced from.

You cannot go wrong with Triumph or Norseman which both are USA made bits.

Huot cases are not what they use to be! I have two recent ones I purchased (complete fractional/number/letter) and both had quality issues. Not even close to the quality of my 50 year old ones.
