My neighbor told me about the auction ( http://www.proxibid.com/asp/catalog.asp?aid=35160 ).. The fab shop went out of business.. I am always looking to add to my garage and figured.. what the heck.. maybe I can find something good.. I was looking for a bandsaw. Thought all of you fellow machinist would be interested in what stuff sells for in South Florida. The town is Canal Point.. population around 500, located by Lake Okeechobee.. Here is some of the more interesting sales:

2900.jpg
LE BLOND 6' METAL LATHE, Sold for $2,900.00

4700.jpg
LE BLONDE 8' METAL LATHE, Sold for $4,700.00

2300.jpg
BRIDGE PORT DRILL PRESS, Sold for $2,300.00

ROYERSFORD EXELSIOR 21 DRILL PRESS, Sold for $50.00

1500.jpg
BULLARD VERTICAL LATHE, Sold for $1500.00

51.jpg
CHICAGO POWER TOOLS DRILL PRESSS, Made in Tiawan, Sold for $50.00
(The reason I am showing this, is the vice that came with it, sitting on the base, is probably worth the $50.00) I should have grabbed it!!

And here is what I wanted to get, but I didn't want to pay that much. Do you think it was worth it??

VERTICAL SHOP BAND SAW, Sold for $375.00

Here is what I ended up buying for $35.00. The stand is very heavy.. :

When I got home, I immediately took it apart and begin painting it.. Finished it today:

Overall I had a good time. This was my first auction and plan to go to some more. I learned a few things at this one that will help me in the future. (btw: I also posted this in the MW forum.)

Good score and a great clean p and paint. That band saw wasn't worth that much, I have a Delta/Milwaukee wood and medal I got for free!!
