VFD TO TWO PHASE???????

Just saw a nice Bridgeport j mill with 2phase motor with a transformer to 3 phase. Just wondering will vfd run the mill , $1,100 price tag.
I can't afford it but this question came to me. I'd like to buy the excello mill in ny for $350.00 but no help.

When researching my mill, I came across a company that specialized in 2Ph-3Ph and 3Ph-2Ph converters. They were located in central Philly, oddly enough. I would imagine that with a proper converter, you could power the lot with a VFD. Even if it fails, 3Ph Bridgeport motors are available.

The mill looks real nice plenty of scraping marks visable even in pictures. In Collingswood NJ . Very close to Philly.
