For Veterans Day I'm attending a "family reunion" of guys from my boat this evening. It's a tradition we started 2 years ago upon realizing several of us had settled around the Houston area. A couple of guys are flying in for it, from Oregon and California.

There will be a dozen of us tonight carrying on like 15 years hasn't passed.

We were at our local legion hall for the ceremony this morning. A very good turn out this year, thankfully.

Good that you’ve kept it touch: I’ve lost contact with just about everyone I served with in the 70’s.

Good that you’ve kept it touch: I’ve lost contact with just about everyone I served with in the 70’s.

It's easier now with social media. I got out in 2008 and the rest in attendance got out within +/- a year of when I did, so most of us were already networked together on Facebook before we left the boat.
