Using the Thread indicator

I'm thinking if a moderator were to collect all the posts dealing with thread making and create a "stickie" he would become a forum favorite:man:

Maybe it's just me but I think there needs to be some clarification on this topic, here's a couple of pictures

This is a thread dial and is used to tell you when to engage the half nut lever when threading so your thread's only have one starting point.

This is a Trav a Dial and it is a device that lets you know precisely how far your carriage has moved

My Logan has exactly that Trav a Dial device in stead of a thread dial. Can a thread dial be added in addition to the Trav a Dial? This is probably why my threading attempts have been so dismal. God bless.

You should be able to do that. You would just have to re-locate the Trav a Dial.
