Not familiar with this mount. What makes it different than a regular bi-pod mount?

The legs on the bipod fold up out the way and you have access to the handguard like a regular rifle. Also it supposed to be really rigid. Ive never used one,but I'm working one out.

Here are a couple more pics, The first one is a better pic of it on the rifle

Heres one of what the leg will look like.

I still have a lot to figure out, like leg detents, adjustable height, latches for the leg. I'm trying to work this out with no springs on the legs, just legs that will lock in the up and down positions.

Those are going to be some long legs!

Here's one I came up with a couple years ago:

Just make a sliding fit and add some notches and a spring loaded button to lock position.

Thanks for the idea !! what angle do you have them set ?

Been too long, I had to pull the drawing up. The angle between the legs is 80 degrees. With the legs folded down but not extended the spread between the feet is 15". Of course the more you extend, the wider they get and that can eat up a lot of real estate. The up-side is it also provides some stability. The V portion is free to rotate around the receiver extension rod and has a locking screw to hold it at the desired angle.

You need to keep in mind how you plan on terminating the feet so it'll fit your handguard. I didn't use one so mine can go either way. I didn't come up with the buttons or 5 way positioning system for the arms, I just took a look at how an Atlas bipod was set up for that part. Once I understood how to make the spring loaded buttons it was just a matter of incorporating them into the extensions.
